A Celebration of Rhododendrons

Rhododendron & Azalea Gardens Open for Visitors

To celebrate the Silver Jubilee of the Scottish Rhododendron Society the Society has teamed up with Scotland’s Garden Scheme, Royal Botanic Gardens Edinburgh, National Trust for Scotland, the Glorious Gardens of Argyll & Bute and VisitScotland to bring you A Celebration of Rhododendrons.

So between early-March and late-June, find time to head outdoors and be enthralled by these stunning flowers in the clear, bright days that Spring brings to Scotland. In the warm days, when there is still a mantle of snow on the mountains, a woodland walk or stroll in the gardens of some of Scotland’s magnificent castles and historic houses, can clear away the cobwebs and, with the peace and inspiration that the rhododendrons and azaleas can infuse, it will work wonders on both body and soul.

In association with A Celebration of Rhododendrons the competitive Scotland’s National Rhododendron Show will be held from 10.00 – 17.00hrs on Thursday 8th May and Friday 9th May in the main Exhibition Hall of the Royal Botanic Garden, Edinburgh. Don’t miss this amazing show with its stunning range of flower colours of all sizes and shapes of rhododendrons and azaleas that have come from gardens all over Scotland.
